Getting Ready for Spring...

It's not quite spring weather outside yet (at least not here), but you can tell it will be soon. I don't really like it when the seasons are in transition like this because I'm impatient and always ready for it to be whatever is coming up next. Also, it's hard to dress for not winter, not spring yet type weather. One of my favorite things about spring is injecting an extra dose of color in your wardrobe. I don't avoid color in the fall or winter, but I think everyone tends to gravitate towards darker colors that time of year. The last couple of years I've really loved buying yellow pieces that I can wear with several different things. I think yellow is a color a lot of people are either afraid of or think they can't wear, but the right amount in the right tone can suit almost anyone. Even just a little bit in a piece of jewelry can brighten up an entire outfit.

What are you looking forward to wearing for spring?

just have to comment on our different definitions of spring. It's 60 degrees here today, and as far as the Michiganders are concerned, spring has sprung! it was in the 40s and 50s this past weekend and people were wearing shorts and flip flops. :)i love yellow! also, it's a good color on me with the blonde hair :)

sorry-one more comment-I wear alot of green in the spring. ALOT of green. As in, I probably have a different green top for every day of the week in the spring. & I have a brite-ish green 'rain coat' that i wear. this carries over into the summer.

I don't really wear color at all, but I think yellow is such an uplifting and refreshing color that works with almost every skin tone! Maybe I'll be a bit adventurous as to go for yellow accessories :)

I'm looking forward to wearing some color again! I've been eyeing a few things in the Boden catalogue and from the Liberty of London for Target line.

Ya know, I love yellow! It's one of my fav colors. Maybe cuz my mom always made me wear it and said it looked good with my complexion! I think it always gives outfits a great pop. Especially a purse, I am on the hunt for one. ;)

great pieces and love the color! I'm in agreement with you that it's hard to get dressed during these in-between periods!

Kirsty - It's Alice + Olivia from Shopbop!

Jaime - I love the belted dress, too. Can't wait to pull out some brighter colors!

Dani - I would be thrilled with 60 degrees right now! Lately it's been 50's, rainy and windy. The combination is not feeling spring-like at all. Hopefully that should change in a week or so.

Jen - It really is such an easy color to add :)

Tee Sea - Give it a try! Will check out your blogs :)

TPB - Thank you, some of my fave brands as well :)

Alicia - Anthro always has such great spring pieces!

Erin - Need to check out the Liberty of London line!

AttemptingStyle - I avoided it for a long time as well!

Walk the Sand - Thank you, I think they're so perfect for the season!

Taj - It is such a great pop. I used to have a yellow purse, it was great - good luck finding one!

Fashion Seen - Great combo!

Reality - I agree!

Angela - Last year I relied one yellow cardigan repeatedly!

Dea - I know, don't you just wish the weather would make up it's mind? It's nice to look forward to at least :)

Lee - I really think it's the perfect color for the upcoming months. I don't know why I used to shy away from it!
