What's In My House... Master Suite

Ok - it's the end of What's In My House...! If you've missed any of the other posts, there's What's In My House... Kitchen, What's In My House... Living Room, and What's In My House... Guest Bedroom, Guest Bathroom, Office. So check those out if you missed any of them!

I figured we'd end with the master suite and since I ramble...

...let's get started!
View from the doorway
Our walk-in closet is to the left when you come in. I would estimate Jared has 10% of the closet. It's actually less than that but I'm trying to be nice. He has plenty of room seeing as he has no stuff, though.
Bedding - Bed Bath and Beyond
Throw pillows - Pier 1
Paintings over bed - Pier 1
View from the bathroom. Our bedroom suite (bed, nightstands, chest of drawers and dresser) was a wedding present from my parents. Jared likes classic and I like contemporary. He likes warm colors and I like cool colors. Somehow, this is the compromise we agreed on though and we both love it. The furniture is brown (which Jared likes) but a deep, almost espresso brown (which I like) and even though it has a clean, classic look (Jared) it has more modern brushed metal fixtures (me). See? Compromise.
Shelves - Target
We got these shelves right after we got married because we needed living room furniture, so that's where these went at that time. Now the living room has black furniture, but these match in the bedroom and we have this weird little wall, so there you go. The frame above the shelves has wedding pictures with both mine and Jared's family and in the middle it has:
my maiden name - our last name
August 26, 2006
all embroidered in one of our wedding colors. My aunt made it for us :) The basket on the bottom shelf has all the cards we got when we got married. I'm not usually a sentimental person but I did save all of those. They're nice to have!
Jared's nightstand. The picture in the frame is my favorite of our engagement pictures, and then everyone signed it at my lingerie shower. Ok, so I guess that makes it more mine since my friends signed it, but it's a picture of us and looks good on his nightstand.
My nightstand. That's one of my favorite pictures ever of Jared. I had a disposable camera in my purse, and we were at a gas station and he'd gotten out to pump my gas, then apparently I rolled the window down and he was leaning in and I decided to snap a picture. I just love it though, that looks like "him" to me. He hates having his picture taken so a lot of them he has a fake look on his face. Not this one :)
My dresser. Pretty self explanatory. Oh, that's a Boyd's Bear that my Mom got me and it's holding a little bag that says "Born to Shop" haha. The picture to the far right is us at my sorority's formal (Black Diamond Ball) my senior year, a few months after we started dating. That would be the one and only formal Jared ever went to lol.
Jared's chest of drawers. The "And they lived happily ever after" sign is from Target. Kinda cheesy, but I like it.
My vanity that I did a post on a LONG time ago if you want to see before and afters. And no, in those old pics that's not all my makeup lol. The vanity belonged to my Dad's mother and is about 90 years old. I'm obsessed with it and thrilled we had room for it in the house. Oh, to the left of the vanity the dog's bed is in the corner but that didn't make it in any of the pics. I promise he has a bed though, he even sleeps in it a couple of hours a night :)
View inside the bathroom
The double vanity. A necessity in marriage, if you ask me.
Jared has the left side, I have the right side. The top drawer has like 3 things that belong to Jared and the rest is mine. The other 3 drawers? All mine :) Jared's cabinet has, like 3 things that belong to him, toiler paper, and bathroom cleaning stuff. My cabinet has... my stuff lol. Is anyone surprised? Didn't think so.
You have no idea how happy this makes me. No idea. If you have a big tub, do yourself a favor - get a memory foam pillow, some nice candles, tons of bubble bath, bath salt, bath bombs, etc., a stack of magazines, an iPod, and then call me. You tell me how happy you are.
The basket is holding some of my lotions :) There are some room sprays in there too, just like there were in the other bathroom. Invest in room sprays if you live with a boy. I'm just saying.

I can't keep all my hair and shower stuff in any shower we've ever had, so I just go for an assortment and keep the rest in my cabinet. I'd say I keep about 6-8 bottles of both hair stuff and shower stuff and usually a couple of soaps as well because I like to always have a variety. Oh, and see the "seat" in the shower? I still don't really know the purpose of that, but I made fun of it endlessly when we were buying the house. I was like "What is it? A shower for old people?" and then not a few weeks after moving in I got freaking PNEUMONIA and ended up being so sick and weak that for probably 2 weeks I sat down on the damn old person seat every time I took a shower so I didn't pass out.
I haven't made fun of it since.
All towels and rugs in the bathroom except for the monogrammed towels - Target
I had to buy a lot of rugs for the bathroom (there's also the one in front of the toilet). I'm happy with how it all turned out, though. I could never get our bedroom and bathroom just right in either of the places we lived before this, but I think it's finally working now. Which probably means I'll want to change it soon.

Ok, so that's it for the What's In My House... series! I skipped the laundry room (because it's boring), the upstairs (because it's unfinished), the garage (because who cares) and the outside, although actually I do have patio pics up on Tweetphoto if you really want to see. There you go, if you're interested. Alright, so that's it! Thanks so much to everyone who has been reading and commenting, I appreciate it and hope you enjoyed it!

Okay I seriously want to live at your house. Adults live there. Things match. Things are new. You have fantastic bedding. I love the hangings on the wall. The man of the house has less than 10% of the closet...bahahahahaha! that last part slayed me!!

Katie - the irony about that outfit is I was BARELY warm in it. Summer never really showed up until a little this week. Everyone else will be in their parka and I'll STILL be wearing shorts.

I love your color scheme in there :) I am going for the same thing in my bedroom, but we have yet to get 100% matching furniture. Also, I really love the sleigh beds, but Brett has issues with it because he likes his feet to stick off the edges. :)
