Every once in a while, a nail polish comes out and it starts a craze. Not surprisingly, this has happened with Chanel nail polishes quite a few times.

January 2010 - Was first seen on the Chanel runway and became an immediate hit. Can still be found in some stores.

May 2010 - Beyonce wore this shade in one of her videos. The color sold out in 5 weeks.

July 2010 - One of the most unique shades Chanel has come out with. Already has a lot of celebrity fans including Rachel Bilson, a long time Chanel lover.
I went on a mad search recently for Particuliere and Paradoxal. It took going to 3 different stores, but I own them both now and I love them both. Chanel polishes are gorgeous and great quality.

I've never used Chanel polish ... yet. I did fall hard for Jade, but never bothered to hunt it down. Shame on me. What kind of fashionista am I?! ;-)

I have been looking every where since Particulier came out, and I cannot find it anywhere. I even had out of state family look. I am so bummed that I cant find it! I own Paradoxal Nouvelle Vague and Black Satin. One of my friends bought Black Satin for $180 from someone... I thought she was nutso!

i love that black satin! the particulerie reminds me of my "tickle me french-y" color i had done for my napa vacay! can't say i always don chanel polish though so i didn't realize it was similar looking! lol
i probably would buy chanel polish if i could even remotely paint my own nails. but im terrible its like a five year old's art project gone wrong. lol but i love the history lesson! such interesting things i would never know. ugh and im still in need of a make up shopping trip, in which case i told myself i would read your suggestions before heading to sephora. i will update you when i do :)
I love all these. My first forays into Chanel polish was with Vamp and Night Sky (I used to die over that ad with Kirsty Hume).
Particuliere is so gorgeous! Such a fabulous neutral.

I've never owned a 'designer' polish. I squirm at the thought of paying more than $3 for a bottle.
This summer I got a lilac shade from avon that I adore, as well as turquoise from sally hansen. I smile every time i look at my toes.
