A common perfume question seems to be what is the difference between "Eau de Parfum" and "Eau de Toilette". Perfume gets expensive so you want to make the right choice. The main differences between parfum and toilette are found in the concentration of the scent. Parfum is more potent than toilette. Eau de parfum lasts for a longer time than eau de toilette.
Eau de Parfum
Eau de Parfums have 10 to 20 percent of the fragrant extracts and oils, while the rest consists of fillers like alcohol. These perfumes are more expensive because they have a higher concentration of fragrance. Usually Eau de Parfums are stronger and last longer than Eau de Toilettes.
Eau de Toilette
Eau de Toilettes have five to 15 percent of the fragrant extracts and oils, and the rest of the mixture consists of alcohol. Eau de toilette is usually the least expensive perfume in a fragrance line. Since it's weaker you may need to use more of the fragrance because the scent may wear off faster than Eau de Parfum.
Since they are stronger, Eau de Parfum usually costs more but in my opinion - it's worth it. The scent lasts longer and the bottle will last you longer as well, so in the long run I think it's the better buy. What about you?
