Glitter Eyeliner

It's almost the holidays and one trend I'm excited to try out is glitter eyeliner.
Huh?
Yeah, I know. I'm not a teenager. But trust me, anyone can do this, it's fun, and it's not as outlandish as it sounds. First, the 2 brands I've tried out:

Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Liner
I have this in Glam Rock:
Price:
$18

NYX Candy Glitter Liner
I have this in Crystal:
Price:
$4.50

I like the Urban Decay one a little better, but obviously you can't beat the price of the NYX. Now, how on earth do you wear it? There's a couple of ways, actually. After you apply mascara you can apply a little bit of glitter liner to your eyelash tips (it'll stick to the wet mascara) - a tip I mentioned in a What I'm Loving... in the past. Or you can take a little glitter liner and run it across either your top or bottom lash line. Using such a small amount is fun but really won't stand out that much. Plus if you pick silver or gold - even more perfect for this time of year!

Hey, I have a party for work coming up and I don't use foundation but I was thinking about trying some since I've been having stress breakouts :( sad.

Any affordable suggestions for coverup that's easy to use?

Thank you!

How can anyone resist a little glitter?! :)
I've actually been wanting to try the Urban Decay liner for some time now. This is giving me even more reason to buy one!

A nice tip for the holidays. I think I can get away with a small amount of glitter.

I love me some glitter! Never thought to try it on my lash tips though. Great tip!

I have a Stila liner with subtle glitter, I love it. It gives a pop without being over the top.

Great tips on how to apply it! I have NO idea how to wear glitter liner. But it seems like an awful lot of fun =)

Katie! I love that you're a product junkie! LOL! Welcome to my world. :)

I love glitter eyeliner mostly on the bottom. Say you're doing a smokey eye... I would line the eyes normally with black/brown/whatever, and then I would add the glitter liner on top of existing liner on the lower lash line, in a similar color for extra sparkle. Gold and silver are great for that "V" in the tear duct area too!

Btw, NYX has amazing products, and they're always in my kit!
