Ok, first things first - this was supposed to be a post as promised about the costumes Jared and I were supposed to wear Friday night.
Life happened, I wasn't feeling good, I've been home for days trying to... I don't know what. Snap out of this. Anyway, never fear - the dog did dress up for Halloween and agreed to be featured on the blog. Ok I'm lying. No, he really had a costume, I just have no idea if he would agree to being on the blog but uh, he's a dog. So I win.
The outdoor fall decor - mums and the carved pumpkin.
August was a bumblebee!
It was very tiring. No really, he barked at every poor child who rang the doorbell.
Keeping a close eye on Jared, hoping he'll get him out of this.
The hood of the costume didn't stay in place well. If I can be creative enough I'll try to fix that next year. Somehow. And for those closely watching - August has a houndstooth collar. Yep. He also has a personalized Bama football jersey. Roll Tide.
Outfit change. Oh yeah, August has a Halloween t-shirt as well. And he's slowly trying to get away from me and the camera. Nice try, Augie.
"Seriously? Enough with the pictures!"
He's smiling :)
It glows in the dark! The face on the shirt is supposed to match the pumpkin. That's what Jared said anyway haha.
Ok, so sorry this post didn't go as planned, but animals in costume are funny, right? In all seriousness, it's just been a tough time lately and while I'm feeling better the last couple of days, I need a little more time. I don't want to not post, because keeping the blog up is really helpful to me, so for the remainder of the week I might do something like post a song a day, like a mini What I'm Loving..., something that's really helping me, not just something random. If you have any suggestions for posts - ideas, tags, questions you have, whatever - please leave them in a comment. I really need some inspiration and I'd love to hear what you have to say.
I hope everyone had a good weekend and is doing ok. If you could spare a little positive energy or a good thought, send it my way. I'm not one to ask for anything but I'm willing to admit I could use it right now.
