Halloween Recap

Ok, first things first - this was supposed to be a post as promised about the costumes Jared and I were supposed to wear Friday night.
Supposed to.
Life happened, I wasn't feeling good, I've been home for days trying to... I don't know what. Snap out of this. Anyway, never fear - the dog did dress up for Halloween and agreed to be featured on the blog. Ok I'm lying. No, he really had a costume, I just have no idea if he would agree to being on the blog but uh, he's a dog. So I win.
Enjoy:
The outdoor fall decor - mums and the carved pumpkin.
August was a bumblebee!
It was very tiring. No really, he barked at every poor child who rang the doorbell.
Keeping a close eye on Jared, hoping he'll get him out of this.
The hood of the costume didn't stay in place well. If I can be creative enough I'll try to fix that next year. Somehow. And for those closely watching - August has a houndstooth collar. Yep. He also has a personalized Bama football jersey. Roll Tide.
Outfit change. Oh yeah, August has a Halloween t-shirt as well. And he's slowly trying to get away from me and the camera. Nice try, Augie.
"Seriously? Enough with the pictures!"
He's smiling :)
It glows in the dark! The face on the shirt is supposed to match the pumpkin. That's what Jared said anyway haha.

Ok, so sorry this post didn't go as planned, but animals in costume are funny, right? In all seriousness, it's just been a tough time lately and while I'm feeling better the last couple of days, I need a little more time. I don't want to not post, because keeping the blog up is really helpful to me, so for the remainder of the week I might do something like post a song a day, like a mini What I'm Loving..., something that's really helping me, not just something random. If you have any suggestions for posts - ideas, tags, questions you have, whatever - please leave them in a comment. I really need some inspiration and I'd love to hear what you have to say.
I hope everyone had a good weekend and is doing ok. If you could spare a little positive energy or a good thought, send it my way. I'm not one to ask for anything but I'm willing to admit I could use it right now.

I Know what you mean about life happening... Even though some days it feels more overwhelming than others and curious as to why the energy can't come to us
on the days we want it to. At least you had the energy to dress up your fur baby and take pictures, resize them, and post this blog!

All I did tonight was do some laundry and make myself some pancakes. :)

maybe this week you can have your readers post up things they are loving? <3

hope you sleep well!! (((hugs)))

My dear Katie, I so hope that you're feeling better soon. And of course we will absolutely eat up anything that you post -- ESPECIALLY a mini "What I'm Loving," which are my favorites!

Oh Katie you are on my mind so much these days. I love August!! He's such a little doll in his costumes. hehe. How on earth did you ever get him to cooperate with the bumblebee?? That is too much! aaahahahaha!!

Okay I will try to pull it together today (Monday), but I have class in the evening so it could be tight. Worst case let's most def talk by phone on Tuesday.

Just try to take it easy and be kind to yourself. I'm so looking forward to chatting. In the meantime I love your favorite things posts - or anything like this one with the dog is awesome too!

xoxo,
Carrie

The puppy looks awesome! I love, love, love it. Like all of us... he seems to lose steam with the costume as the night progresses. Sorry you are having such a hard time, that is such a bummer :( It sounds like you are making positive steps to lighten your load as you can, so that is great. Just take it day by day and make time for you, I'm not sure how mobile you are because I know a lot of this is health related but for me, exercise or even a walk around the neighborhood always help me clear my head. Chin up darling!

sometimes it's hard to post daily--i definitely understand that. honestly, if you don't feel like doing it--don't! we'll still come back :)

if you still want something quick, i would just post things you have your eye on--makeup, bags, shoes, etc!

feel better, lady.

Aw, they're still so cute!

I'd like to offer a little advice, if you'll humor me. Rather than force yourself to post, don't. Take a break. The best way to totally burn out (and waste your time) is to post just for the sake of it, rather than when its meaningful. We'll still be here!

Dogs in costume is one of my fave things ever. Seriously, if I'm down, it often can elicit a giggle.
At first I thought u had the mums in the pumpkin! I was mad I didn't come up w.the idea myself!
Since I got a dog two weeks ago, he will surely get a UGA jersey!
And we have ZERO trick or treaters.
