For one day of 30 for 30, Collette from Statements in Fashion and I decided to dress each other. Here's what she came up with for me:
Shirt - J. Crew, Dress - Old Navy, Tights - Simply Vera, Shoes - Gap, Belt - Limited, Sunglasses - Chanel, Ring - Express, Earrings - Limited
(I don't know why all my pictures are blurry from this day. My camera was being temperamental.)
I would have never thought to put this shirt over the dress and I completely love it. I'm so glad we decided to do this! Great idea and if you're doing 30x30, you should consider it :)

1. What color dominates your closet?
Probably more gray than anything else. Are we counting gray as a color or a neutral? I mean, technically it's a color. Anyway, blue is a close 2nd.

I have a lot of different colors in my closet, so I don't think money not being an issue would change that.

Try it with accessories first. Shoes, bag, jewelry - it's more subtle and easier to mix colors that way.

I like to do a "pop" of color. A scarf, a necklace - something that stands out and brightens up what I'm wearing.

I just gave kudos to you on Collette's blog, now I must give her kudos for your great look! I love the red and turquoise. And I share a lot of the same thoughts on color--especially about adding a pop of color! I have a hard time doing all neutrals.
