NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil (amazing range of colors, great price, and make your eyeshadow pop) and NARS blush (so pigmented and literally lasts for years).

Chanel Inimitable mascara. Plenty of drugstore mascaras get the job done (CoverGirl LashBlast, for one) but you cannot beat Inimitable. Absolutely the best mascara I've ever, ever used.

TiGi Rockaholic Dirty Secret Dry Shampoo and Aveda Phomollient. The Dirty Secret is amazing for 2nd (or 3rd...) day hair. Revives it, freshens it up, and gives your hair more body. Phomollient gives your hair the perfect amount of control and texture without creating build-up. Aveda is my overall favorite hair line. I have never been disappointed in a product and I've used a lot of them. They're pricier but last a long time and are worth every penny.

Nothing comes to mind that I'm ashamed of. I probably should be, but I'm not. Jared says I should be ashamed of this hat:
...but I'm not. And I guess that's more fashion than beauty, but whatever. This is why I usually don't ask his opinion on fashion and beauty things. We tend to disagree. :)

I take the same attitude towards hair and makeup as I do to fashion and life in general - I do what I want. Pretty simple, isn't it? If I want to wear glitter eyeliner (I do sometimes), or buy a headband with a huge honkin' peacock feather on it (I wanted to & did) or change my major in college 3 times (ok, I don't recommend that one actually, but I did it) then I do.

I have tried shamefully few of the things you named. I need to get on that. Also you rock the hat. Tell Jared to shut up and read Instyle to see what's going on.

My boyfriend thinks I should be ashamed of my felt floppy hat. Boys don't get hats, I don't think.

Ahh let's discuss Inimitable. Do you use the regular or the Inimitable Intense? I like Inimitables (don't think it clumps up too much) but am wondering if Intense is better and if it's generally better than other mascaras like Elizabeth Arden Ceramide complex mascara which is good.

I'm surprised you had luck with the Chanel mascara! When I used it for a review, it got dried out and clumpy after only a few uses! I wonder if maybe I got a bad batch?
Looks like everyone so far agrees with me, mascara is amazing!

I think you should rock your hat all the time- it's super cute! I just started getting into Aveda products, and I am pretty much in love. Control Paste and Confixer are awesome beyond words.

I tried the Rockaholic Dirty Secret Dry Shampoo a couple of months ago when Ulta had it on special. The product was fantastic. I lived it a lot better than Psssst. Unfortunately, the bottle did not last long. Have you had the same problem?

I've got to try that TiGi Dry Shampoo--it sounds like a lifesaver! And the hat rocks!! Silly boys.
Nice, I always forget Blush exists so an investment in a good one would be a grand idea! And my favorite lip liner is my wet and wild jumbo one.. my lipstick is super expensive but I love that liner! And our boys don't really get fashion, hat looks great! Pretty, pretty as usual.
