The Shred Crew

via weheartit (I wish...)
Ok, I've already mentioned it, and you've probably seen it elsewhere, but quite a few people are on board for the Shred Crew. It's very simple if you want to jump in. Most of us are doing 30 Day Shred, but if you're doing something else that's fine of course.
Here's the list of who's in:
Carrie - This Free Bird
Taylor - Curly in the City
Kristin - Skinny Jeans & a Chai Latte
Torrie - A Place to Share
Kayla - Ramblings of a Small Town Girl
Danielle - Elleinadspir
J - Oh Hey It's J
Shan - Merci Blah Blah
Erin - Pursuit of LLT
Angela - Notes from the Dressing Room
Kristin - Bon Bon Rose Girls
Micah -Unabashedly Me
Meghan - Little Girl in the Big World
...and me, of course.
Follow our blogs (listed above), follow on Twitter, and be sure to use the #shredcrew if you Tweet about it so everyone sees it!
I've been at this a week now, so I'll probably be doing a little update here and there to hold myself accountable and see if I am making any progress. Like most everything else this year, I'm easing into a better eating and exercising plan and trying to figure out something that will help and that I can really stick to and maintain. So it's ongoing - nothing is ever easy, right?
If you're trying out a new diet and exercise plan, or if you've been at one for awhile, I'd love to hear about it or any tips and tricks you'd like to share! Most everyone is trying to something this time of year so I'm sure we'd all like to hear success stories.

Keep it at, ladies! I'm loving reading all of your Tweets and posts about this... I'm so proud of my girls! I think I'm going to try it over the summer and it will probably kill me. I've been working out every day at school this year and am in such better shape than I was in August... It takes time but I feel so much better about myself now!

You should check out the dailyburn.com. It helps you track the food and calories you eat. My mom lost a ton of weight using it and I was able to eat healthier etc. I love it! maybe it will help supplement what you are already doing. Let me know if you like it!

i went on the sp cleanse and lost about 10 lb. it was light exercise with no salt and sugar. only veggies and fruit for the first 10 days and then add lean protein for the next 10. 21 days total. i survived and it trained me to eat healthier, which i have been trying to keep up with.

Do it ladies! A gradual diet change has been really helpful for us. We try to limit dinner out to once a week and I cook the other days. I make a lot more vegetarian dishes (think mushrooms, frittatas, tofu, chickpeas) and also try to have a carb free dinner day. I think it's helped and am back on the exercise wagon when I feel better!

Katie I am peeing laughing over the eat whatever you want part. BAHAHAHA!!

Okay it's 2:30 and I have to go to bed. Girl I'm so glad we're all doing this together. It helps so much with the encouragement/commiseration/and occasional chocolate slip!

xoxo,
Carrie

Well done on making the pledge to do this challenge! I've done the shred before but I prefer to do my own sorts of workouts, so I'm getting healthy but in a different way! :)

Congrats sweetie! I just started on a healthy living thing last week...it's actually just weight watchers. I'm not signed up but I'm following along anyway and I'm down 6 lbs so I'm really exited so far. I'm too intimidated to try the shred though! Maybe one day I can be as brave as you. Good luck! :)

Will be interested to hear how it goes. I just eat homemade soup for lunch and dinner one or two days a week. I ahve also cut out snacking in the week but eat what I like on weekends and do 3 hour classes per week. It seems to be doing the trick so far.
