When I did my last mascara review, it was requested that I do a post on my all-time favorite mascaras. I've probably mentioned all of these at various points, but it's good to have one post where they're all in one place. So here you go:
Absolute Favorite Mascara
This is the only mascara I've used that actually does multiple things in one. It lengthen, volumizes, and separates. I don't care that it's expensive. I've never seen a mascara do this much in a single coat so I will gladly continue to repurchase it.
Absolute Favorite Lash Product
DiorShow Maximizer Lash Plumping Serum
I did a series of reviews on L'Oreal's Lash Boosting Serum and I was perfectly happy with the results. L'Oreal's product, like Latisse and other serums, works to lengthen your lashes over time. That's fine, and Dior's serum does that as well, but the key difference is that you can apply it before your mascara and it provides instant results. I like instant. So I love the Dior.
Honorable Mentions (aka I really, really love these too)
Make Up For Ever Smoky Lash
This is another good all in one mascara. You get lengthening and volumizing in one, and it has a great, deep pigment to it that gives your lashes a rich look.
Dior DiorShow Extase
I don't love DiorShow (it's fine, just not worth the price). I don't love DiorShow Iconic (waste of money, skip that one entirely). After 2 strikeouts, I'm not sure why I purchased another DiorShow but Extase is an exception. It's good for volumizing and paired with Smoky Lash? Absolutely amazing.
I've tried all the Lashblast mascaras and the original (Lashblash Volume) is hands down the best. Amazing for both volumizing and separating.
As I've mentioned, my favorite of all the L'Oreal mascaras I've tried. I've gone to this countless times for years now and will continue to do so.
The blessing and curse of mascaras is that they have a short shelf life so if you don't know which one to pick, you get plenty of opportunities to try them out. Lashes are like anything else - everyone's are different so keep trying, you'll find one that's perfect for you! But I imagine there's at least one in here you would love :)
