Friend Friday - Gratitude

Friend Friday
I recently joined the Fashion Beauty Friend Friday group created by Katy over at Modly ChicEvery week Katy puts together a set of questions and on Friday if you want to participate, you answer them on your blog and link back up at Modly Chic.
weheartit
1.  When it comes to be personally – I owe a lot of who I am to:
My parents, my husband, family, the small group of people I consider to be good, true friends.
2. When it comes to be professionally – I owe a lot of who I am to:

Know how on the side it says "A 20-something girl trying to figure out what she wants to be when she grows up"? I still am. If I ever do figure it out, I'll let you know.
3. When it comes to the art of blogging, I’m grateful to these people
for helping me through some rough spots:

Lately, that's definitely my #shredcrew. Having my group of girls to motivate me while I'm trying to eat better and exercise has been beyond helpful!
4. One blogging challenge I’m grateful happened because it made me
stronger was…

I don't view any part of blogging as a challenge. If I did, I'd probably walk away from it. Too many other things in my life are a challenge. I do this for fun and as an escape and if it's ever not, I don't want to do it anymore and I won't.
5. To my readers, I’d like to say…

While I like to blog about things that are fun and interesting to me, this blog is still me, and my life gets pretty well integrated into it. My life isn't always pretty, perfect, or well put together and as a result, neither is the blog sometimes. And yet, it's continued to grow. The number of people who stop by daily to read what I've written completely astounds me and I'm always thankful for it.

If you're interested in FBFF, go to Modly Chic for more information then e-mail Katy if you want to join the group.

I love your answer about blogging challenges. It should always be fun and not challenging. I hope it always is for you, because I think we would all miss you!!

I love it. You have become such a good friend of mine even before the shred. I look forward to reading what's going on w/you and love to see what you've acquired from Gilt, Melinda Maria, and all over the place - as well as hearing about August's adventures.

This was cool to read. I need to link up to that thing.

Misery loves company so I totally see why you're down with your shred crew!!! And the 30 by 30 was a challenge for you! I remember. You did a good job with it.

It really is cool/random how we start as strangers but really get to know each other (though I admit to being more private).

Happy weekend dear!

Great answers - short and succint. I got a bit wordy this week. I agree with answers 4 and 5, although I have had a few "small" challenges along the way. I have enjoyed meeting them though!!
Happy Friend Friday!!

It's really awesome that you have a great group behind you. It's so helpful being part of a community. It's one of the things I love about blogging.

You are very inspiring. I completely agree that blogging should be something that is fun all the time. Why give ourselves more work when we already have day jobs?

I should really join this, haha...but then I would have to change This Week in Fashion to another day ;)
So yea...you are amazing! :D And I agree, if blogging was a challenge I wouldn't do it...I do it because I love it and it helps me to relax (well...it is challenging, but in a good way, never a bad way)

I'm so grateful that your blog isn't perfect- I think that's why so many people love it! There's something refreshing about how real you are with your readers. It makes me care about you not just as a blogger, but as a person. I like reading your blog because I genuinely want to know how you are. Thanks for writing such a great blog!

Your blog, just like you, is wonderful, and all the better because it's honest. I have to admit, I hate bloggers that only post their best outfits or talk about only their most expensive purchases (let's get real, everyone buys stuff at the drugstore).

Have a wonderful weekend, darling!

I really like your answers - short and to the point! Personally I have experienced a few challenges when it comes to blogging, but fto me it resulted in growth and becoming a better blogger, so I don't think challenging necessarily is negative:) Have a great weekend!

Love that you're doing these interviews! And I'm totally with you on trying to figure out what I want to do when I "grow up". It's frustrating not knowing if you are in the right profession or not... wish it was more obvious what my passion was! :(

I didn't figure out what I wanted to do when I grow up until my 30s! : )

Love your honest answers. Blogging for me is a pastime too.

Great answers!! It's natural that our lives become part of our blogs but that's what makes each blog unique and sharing ourselves with one another is what creates these amazing relationships we've been able to build with great women!!

Beautifully said! I agree that blogging isn't a "challenge." Sure some days are easier than others, but it is a great way to view the world and share experiences.

Have a great weekend!

"A 20-something girl trying to figure out what she wants to be when she grows up"
Oh man, I can't tell you how many people I know that are in the exact same situation (including myself). I wonder if it's a generational thing, we just were never taught to get out of this mindset?
