1. When it comes to packing for vacation what’s your mantra?
If I "accidentally" forget it, we'll have to buy a new one when we get there.

The things that I can't get - my glasses, an extra pair of contacts, prescription medicine. Anything else can be bought or replaced.

Being an adult for a few days. Yeah, you still are but being on vacation is like taking a break from everything and I love that.
4. Any packing secrets that help you get everything into one suitcase?
Pack multiple tops for each bottom (you can likely re-wear them) and plenty of accessories - they'll help you re-invent what you have. And save room for what you're going to buy!

I always take the same thing - a stack of magazines and an iPod. Never fails :)

It sounds like you like to shop on vacation... I LOVE THAT!! :) And packing tops that can go with each bottoms is a good tip. Remixing is a must on vacation!! Great post- short and sweet! :)

Leaving room for the shopping is always key! I tend to pack to the brim, and then get in trouble coming home, since I too like to shop on vaca!

I love how you manage to keep it so simple! I always obsess slightly about not forgetting things because I'd rather not have to shop for anything!

Unless like me you forget your bathing suit at the beach and miss the first day at the beach because you have no bathing suit and your mom is too mean to take you shopping right when you get there ;)

Love that you will replace anything you 'accidentally' forget! LOL Agree with you completely about not having to be an adult for a few days. Its so nice to just relax and not really have to worry or think about anything but maybe how tan do I want to get!
I love the "being an adult" part of your answers! That is exactly how I feel when I leave my world behind. Who am I kidding? I am like a little kid on the inside almost everyday anyway!! I too believe I can just buy some things when I arrive - like shampoo/conditioner.

This is perfect-and since I'm itching to pack for our upcoming vacation, I'm giggling at thinking of my own packing behavior. I'm one of those crazy people that makes detailed lists of everything in my bag-oye!
I am totally stealing your mantra. I forgot my purse? Oh darn, I'll have to buy a new one.....
