Friend Friday - One Time Use

 Friend Friday
The Fashion Beauty Friend Friday group was created by Katy over at Modly Chic. Each week there is a theme or a set of questions and on Friday if you want to participate, you make a post on your blog and link back up at Modly Chic

This week we're talking about the "one time use" phenomenon.

1. Are you a one-time wearer?
I try to change something so I'm not wearing the exact same outfit twice. Shoes, accessories, just something. As far as outfits that I put on the blog, I don't make an outfit post unless it's different enough from something in the past. Or I try to, anyway. I obviously can't just wear something from my closet one time and then never touch it again, so I try to figure out different ways to incorporate it so I don't get bored with it.
2. Do you feel the need to purchase something new for an evening out or a special event?
It depends on what it is. I wouldn't say I feel like I need to, but sure, there's times I want to.
3. Re-mixing is something a lot of bloggers are proud of being able to accomplish - are you a re-mixing pro or do you shy away from posting items frequently? Why?
The picture above is the collage of my 30 for 3o outfits, which I'm sure a lot of you remember. I'm not a pro, but I did manage to do it once. Not sure I could/would do it again!
4. Do you have a clothing budget or are you an impulse buyer?
Somewhere in between. I shop much easier as an impulse buyer - seeing something I want, knowing it's what I want, and buying it. If I ever go in search of something specific it takes me forever. Of course I always keep in mind what's a good amount to spend, for me. You know the Sex & the City episode where Carrie says that when she sees something she wants in life, she figures out a way to make it happen? It's kind of like that. Give me some time and I'll figure out a way. With clothes, and most anything else.
5. Do you find yourself bored when reading a blog in which clothing items are often remixed and appear frequently?
No, not at all. No one can wear something new every single day, it's not realistic.

If you're interested in FBFF, go to Modly Chic for more information then e-mail Katy if you want to join the group.

I totally agree with your last answer -- I love seeing how people mix in the same pieces!

You're obviosly a quite experienced remixer, I don't think I could have managed a 30 for 30 remix like that! And like Josie I totally agree with your last answer:)

I love the 30x30. Such a great exercise. I'm pretty sure i only wear 30 things, but the official challenge still scares me.

Oh the 30 for 30. I have the itch to try something similar again. Every time a new season enters I always feel the urge to pull out the things I haven't worn in forever and get to re-mixing! - Katy

I agree with #4- I don't really have a clothing budget because I don't really have much extra money for clothes, so any new pieces I buy are sort of impulses buys. But that doesn't happen too often! :)

That 30 for 30 totally impressed me. I often wonder if I could do it...

Have a great weekend, Katie! xoxo

I am a one time wearer much of the time...

I agree with the last answer. Most of us don't have the budget to wear new stuff every single day. I like to try and get creative with what I have. (It's still fun to buy new stuff though!)

How do you keep track if you have posted an outfit before? I can never seem to keep track if I wore a combination before. Even during the 30 for 30 after 10 days I was looking daily at pictures of what I already wore because I couldn't remember.

I'm so devoted to my uniform, I can't imagine never wearing the same outfit again–especially since it's usually jeans, a blouse, flats and a cardi or blazer!
