A little summer reading...

we♥it

Since getting my Nook, I've been reading a lot more. (Wasn't that my New Year's resolution? Go me.) If someone had pointed out that the Nook was like the iPod in the sense I could just press a button and have something at my fingertips immediately, I would have had one years ago. Anyway, I'm needing some book recommendations. Some books I've read recently and liked were "I've Got Your Number" (Sophie Kinsella's latest), "By Invitation Only" (the book by the Gilt founders), and both of Chevy Steven's books (psychological thrillers - reading before bed was a mistake). Anyway, the point is I'm all over the place when it comes to books, so any and all recommendations are great :)

What are you reading lately? And what's your all time favorite book?

I'm so bad when it comes to reading...I've been reading the last of the Inheritence Cycle since last year and I'm only 100 pages in...its LONG and takes forever to read (think Lord of the Rings)

So many great books! My current faves: White Oleander, The Book Thief, The Glass Castle, and the Southern vampire novels. :)

I'm in the midst of reading all the Game of Thrones right now, and really loving them. I think my all time favorite is Patrick Suskind's Perfume though, I seem to reread it every few years.

I'm totally reading 50 Shades of Grey right now. Ha. Not sure how I feel about it frankly. But anyway, I don't think I have favorite book. But I loved No Ordinary Time and A Bright Shining Lie.

I love Jamie's suggestions. I would also add A Reliable Wife by Robert Goolrick, The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer and 50 Shades of Grey.

I am reading Steve Martin's An Object of Beauty right now:)
And I heard that there is going to be a sequel to The Devil Wears Prada - can't wait to read that!

I have a list a mile long thanks to me imploring for help on the matter. Just started Fifty Shades. I know, I know...but someone gave me all 3 books so I figure why not? And everyone I know is reading them so might as well know what the fuss is about :) Can't wait to dig into the rest of the list though. xoxo

I have a books I've read tab on my blog page - keeping track of what I've read lately with reviews if you want to check that out. I really enjoyed "Bringing Home the Birkin" and any book by Dorothea Benton Frank, she writes these light, fluffy tales centered around the lowcountry of SC. Great beach reads.
